I wish to acknowledge my wife, Berenice Mariana Martinson, for her tireless support of every endeavor I have pursued—no matter how impossible or “crazy” it may have seemed. She is, in every sense, a Proverbs 31 woman of great worth.
I also thank my daughter, Karol Genesis Martinson, who inspires me to maintain focus on being a better father every day.
May our family be as rich on Earth as we are in Heaven.
When we were homeless and freezing in the middle of a Texas winter, U.S. Army veteran Casey McAnally stepped in. His generosity quite literally kept my family, including my ten-year-old daughter, from freezing to death.
I also wish to thank my beloved friend, Leticia Antonia Martinez, who sustained me during the year I lived in a storage unit in San Diego. At that time, I was recording audiobooks and slowly building what would become my royalties, and her help kept me alive.
I am deeply grateful to the people of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Greenwood, Mississippi, who offered my family safe and comfortable lodging while others sought to take advantage of us—even stealing my broken-down box truck that had been converted into a tiny home on wheels. I especially thank Brother Hilary, Brother Mark, and Pastor Marvin for their kindness, hospitality, and financial support.
The work of Professor Dungeon Master, Dan DeFazio, has been a lasting source of inspiration. His refined presentation and creative, homebrewed approach to tabletop role-playing games encouraged me to keep pressing forward in my lifelong desire to create my own game system.
Finally, I thank my late mother, Joan, for always being a light in my life—filled with the wisdom of the Tanakh, and a heart of gold.
